Social care is the provision of social work, personal care, protection or social support services to children or adults in need or at risk. Or adults with needs arising from illness, disability, old age, or poverty.
From helping complex family situations, to supporting someone with mental health problems, social work is a varied, demanding, often emotional and very rewarding career.
Our work involves assessing people’s needs, strengths and wishes and working with individuals and families to help them make changes and solve problems. We organise support, make recommendations or referrals to other services and agencies, and keep detailed records.
